A Brownsville mom is facing felony charges after her children suffered injuries in an apartment fire.Police say the young victims were home alone Friday night when the fire broke out at 1635 Park Place.

A Brownsville mom is facing felony charges after her children suffered injuries in an apartment fire.Police say the young victims were home alone Friday night when the fire broke out at 1635 Park Place. A 3-year-old child was badly burned and his 5-year-old brother suffered from smoke inhalation. Fire officials say they believe the children accidentally sparked the fire. The younger victim was transported to Kings County Hospital and then transferred to Jacobi Medical Center for burn treatment.Police say it is unclear how long the children had been alone before the fire started. The 25-five-year-old mother, Julie Graham, was arrested and taken into police custody when she came home two hours after the fire broke out. She is being charged with reckless endangerment.
