Police have arrested a Brownsville senior for allegedly shooting and killing his housemate over a dirty kitchen last night.
Authorities say 72-year-old Ronald Black shot 43-year-old Cornell Heslop in the chest at 144 East 93rd St. at around 11:30 p.m. The victim was taken to Brookdale Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Neighbors say they heard the two men arguing over who was going to clean the dirty kitchen and then heard gunfire.
Investigators say the two men were living in separate rooms in the basement and shared the kitchen and bathroom.
Black is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
