Kensington business owners say their quiet neighborhood is experiencing a revival.
Sara Binbaum opened her fine clothing store, the Red Balloon, on Ditmas Avenue in Kensington a year ago Thursday.
She says the neighborhood's diversity was the initial appeal.
The neighborhood includes a Russian bathhouse, Middle Eastern cuisine and boutique clothing stores for children.
Business owners say the neighborhood's proximity to the F and G subway lines help persuade more people to visit the neighborhood.
It's about a 20-minute ride from midtown Manhattan.
