The National Football Hall of Fame may be in Ohio, but The Bronx's official Hall of Fame historian hails from Morris Park. Victor Mastro was a math professor at Fordham University, and partially retired in 2006. However, he says his love for the pigskin started at a young age and blossomed in the early 1980s. He says he started his research as a hobby, and learned to appreciate the game's connection to the borough. Mastro is hosting a lecture at the Van Cortlandt Library on Jan. 27, as well as the City Island Library on Feb. 4.
