Dondi Williams was attending a graduation party early Sunday morning at 866 Thomas S. Boyland St. in Brownsville when he was shot in the chest and killed.
A 19-year-old man was also shot and taken to Brookdale Hospital. A third victim, another 15-year-old boy, was shot in the arm and walked to Brookdale on his own power. They were both later released.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
Williams was set to begin the 10th grade at Brooklyn Studio Secondary School and aspired to a career in professional basketball.
Councilman Charles Barron (D-Brownsville) has asked that anyone with information contact the police.
