A group of Park Slope residents are being hailed after springing into action Thursday when a driver went into cardiac arrest, leading his car to slam into a deli.
Emergency responders say the driver lost control of his Hyundai and rammed into a store on Fifth Avenue. Surveillance video from a restaurant next door then captures a group of Good Samaritans who worked to get the man out of the car.
Police say when paramedics arrived, they were able to resuscitate the driver.
