Police are searching for a group wanted in connection to a robbery in Bushwick.

The NYPD says an 18-year-old was walking on Melrose Street when three males and two females approached him from behind.

One of the males grabbed the victim and began punching him in the head while another took out a hammer and demanded the victim's cellphone.

The victim dropped his cellphone and was not seriously injured. The incident took place on April 20 around 5 a.m.

The group appears to be in their teens or early 20s with dark complexions and thin builds.
