The CDC is now reporting nine total monkeypox cases in Connecticut.
The state's first monkeypox case, a New Haven County man in his 40s, was reported just over a week ago.
As of Wednesday, the U.S. has a total of 1,053 cases of monkeypox and that number continues to rise.
Worldwide, the number of cases is over 11,000 with the largest amount being diagnosed in Spain and the UK.
