Thousands of Hasidic women gathered Sunday evening at the Bedford Armory in Crown Heights for an annual gala of Jewish women leaders.
The women, who run Jewish centers called chabads, came from as far away as Asia to attend the conference.
There are abut 4,000 chabads in 86 countries, which are run by a rabbi and his wife. Each chabad acts as a center for Jewish life for locals and guests.
The wives who attended the convention reconnected and drew strength from each other, and were working to bring Jewish life to every corner of the globe.
