The MTA says it is making changes to encourage more Bronx residents to take the bus and use mass transit.
The changes are the result of a study done by the office of state Senator Jeff Klein (D - Bronx/Westchester).
MTA president Howard Roberts said new dispatchers are being hired for all 13 express routes to Manhattan. The new dispatchers are being hired to ease traffic flow and to help handle service disruptions. Klein says the new dispatchers will ?make sure several busses don't go to the same stop at the same time.?
Two express stops were added as well, one in the Upper East Side and a second in Harlem. Officials are currently analyzing data to determine if a Wall Street stop is also needed.
