The West Indian Children's Day Carnival kicked off Labor Day weekend with a parade Saturday.

Children from different backgrounds dressed up in exotic, large costumes as they danced down the street at St. John's Place. While having fun, the participating kids were also able to learn about accepting other cultures.

According to the children, they love having a parade dedicated solely to them.
