Customers at Country Farm in Fords were dreaming of winning big this Christmas now that the Mega Millions jackpot was at $1 billion.
Country Farm is considered to be a lucky store due to having sold multiple winning lottery tickets. The owner told News 12 that just a few days ago someone won $20,000 and someone else won $100,000.
“Today is very busy…a lot of traffic today,” says owner Mark Shah.
A winning Mega Millions ticket would pay out a lump sum of $448 million.
“Everybody wants a big house, including my wife. But I think we should be more charitable,” says Eddie Miranda, of Fords.
“I would pay my bills, help my parents, help the family and get a bigger home,” says Myra Miranda, of Fords.
One of the largest Mega Millions jackpots in history was sold in New Jersey in March. The winner just claimed a ticket worth $1.13 billion.
