Churches in coronavirus hot spots across the city are facing limited capacity this Sunday.

Several neighborhoods in Brooklyn with high infections rates of the coronavirus have been labeled as orange and red zones.

In orange zones, churches are limited to 33% with a 25-person limit. Churches in red zones are limited to 25% with a 10-person limit.

A judge denied a lawsuit filed by the Diocese of Brooklyn against the state, claiming that their First Amendment rights were being violated.

In a press conference Saturday, Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio called the judge's ruling "disappointing."

"We think we've followed the rules," DiMarzio says. "We see no contagion happening in our churches and we believe that this blanket prohibition against using our churches and diminishing the number to so few, it doesn't make any sense."

Worshippers in Borough Park say they had to turn some people away as only 10 people are allowed inside at a time.
