The city began removing sunken boats from Shell Bank Greek in Gerritsen Beach last month.
Workers are using a Vietnam War-era beach-landing craft to remove some of the 31 vessels wrecked in Superstorm Sandy.
The boat is capable of floating in shallow water and can carry 80 tons.
The Department of Parks and Recreation is using $2 million in federal money set aside for Superstorm Sandy relief to remove debris in various waters off the city.
