It's going to be another scorcher Tuesday in Brooklyn and the rest of the city.Experts say the best way to avoid the heat and humidity is to stay out of the sun. Residents should either stay indoors, they say, or find a spot in the shade. Experts are urging residents to drink plenty of liquids and wear lightweight clothing. For those who must be outdoors, experts suggest using protection for eyes and skin, and re-applying sunscreen every two hours. Outdoor workers are also told to slow down and remember to take breaks. The city's Office of Emergency Management also says residents should check up on children and elderly residents to make sure they are doing OK. Due to the heat and pollutants lingering in the air, officials say anyone with respiratory or heart problems should avoid going outside. For those who do not have a place to stay cool, the city has opened up free cooling centers throughout the borough.
