City of Norwalk fires Republican deputy registrar accused of murder

The woman who allegedly shot and killed her tenant last week has been fired from her Norwalk city job.
Ellen Wink has been fired as Republican deputy registrar for the city.
Wink is facing a murder charge for allegedly shooting and killing Kurt Lametta last week.
Police say it was some kind of landlord-tenant dispute.
In a statement, Norwalk's Republican Town Committee Chair Fred Wilms said, "Elections integrity is paramount to the functioning of our democracy. As such, our elections officials must possess the highest levels of public confidence."
