Local officials Thursday detailed partnerships they've formed with health care clinics across the city to combat the flu threat.
At a City Hall news conference, Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said the city has partnered to train 2,000 professionals at about 70 clinics.
The city has invested nearly $5 million to focus mainly on underserved communities during flu season. The H1N1 vaccine will be available by November at 18 sites across the city, officials said.
