A city-owned parking lot in Boerum Hill is set to be transformed into a new affordable housing complex for seniors.

The development, named Third Act Apartments, will provide 68 affordable units aimed at helping seniors remain in their community as they age.

The city has announced the development team responsible for the project: Cornerstone Construction Group, St. Nicks Alliance and Stanton Street Development Partners.

The building will include amenities like a pharmacy, a community facility, a laundry room with a view, a game room, a library, a rooftop garden and even a walking loop.

The project is still in the early stages, with construction expected to start in the coming years.

In the meantime, the development team is encouraging local seniors to share their feedback on the plans.
