The City Council passed legislation Thursday cracking down on illegally placed clothing donation bins.
As News 12 has reported, the donation bins have been popping up all over Brooklyn.
Borough President Eric Adams has called the bins an eyesore, and says many of the clothes are sold instead of being donated to a charity as they're supposed to.
The bill will increase fines for illegal drop-offs and allow the city to immediately remove them. Previously, officials had to first post a sticker giving the owner 30 days to remove bins themselves.
