Clinton Hill businesses spread anti-hate messages across community
A Brooklyn neighborhood is taking a stand against hate with a symbolic message.
Dozens of businesses in Clinton Hill have a poster of the American flag with one big white heart in place of the stars.
Amanda Neville, owner of Tipsy wine shop, started the “Hate Has No Business Here” campaign last year. She says after the 2016 election, people in the community wanted to make a statement against hate and racism.
The posters are meant to let others know that kindness, love and respect is what makes America patriotic.
The campaign officially launched throughout the borough. Supporters can display messages with flags, postcards and posters.
