The College of Mount St. Vincent women's lacrosse team was looking for redemption as players took on Manhattanville College Wednesday.
Lady Dolphin Cyndi Adams was dominant in the beginning of the game, scoring the first two goals and a total of five. Teammate Maureen Payne racked up three goals, giving CMSV a 6-0 lead. Lady Dolphin Kelly Martin came out of nowhere to make a steal. She beat the Manhattanville goalie and scored two points in the matchup. CMSV cruised to a 14-8 win, the team's first-ever against Manhattanville.
The Lady Dolphins lost 11-12 in triple overtime the last time the teams met. The CMSV lacrosse program is in its third year.
