As News 12 continues celebrating Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, we're highlighting the advocacy work of the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families.
The group, in partnership with other organizations, work to build solidarity and ensure the proper budget and policy investments are made to help meet the needs of marginalized New Yorkers. They help support and advocate for the AAPI population that they believe has been largely overshadowed, including health inequities.
Mekong NYC and other groups are working to create a collective mindset with the rest of the Bronx as well as other under resourced communities.
