Cobble Hill has a new option for drivers looking for a rare space to park their cars -- but it's expensive.
Very expensive: A spot at the Parking Club Condominium costs $185,000
Customers say it's worth it. They never have to search for a parking spot again.
It opened on Pacific Street two months ago and has sold 20 spots. There are 70 still available.
Lindsay Barrett is a real estate agent who lives six blocks away. She says she bought a spot because as a busy mother of two, the convenience of a permanent place to park was a selling point.
She also says she believes parking prices will climb higher.
"It's just like an apartment, and I think people don't think of that element of it," the real estate professional says. "You buy an apartment, and you anticipate you'll be able to sell it for more, and you'll get the value of that appreciation."
Other drivers say there's no point in having a multimillion dollar home with no place to park. They want to enjoy their homes, not spend their time circling the block.
