Columbia University has announced that applicants will no longer need to provide SAT or ACT scores, becoming the first test-optional Ivy League institution.
The school made the announcement on Wednesday, saying they would join the growing number of higher-education institutions that have also stopped requiring test scores when considering potential students.
They say the process is a “holistic and central” approach focused on not ostracizing dynamic and multifaceted students.
