Crowds continued to gather in Bushwick Sunday to honor and demand justice for a 4-year-old girl who was run over and killed a week ago.
Luz Gonzalez was killed outside a Laundromat while riding her scooter on the sidewalk.
Police say the woman driving the car left the scene, but didn't know she hit someone until they pulled her over several blocks away.
Since then, people have been taking to the streets to show their support for the Gonzalez family and ask city officials to hold the driver accountable for the little girl's death.
"Justice needs to be brought up for the responsible driver, for which the community is fighting for. And we don't expect less than good justice,” said one resident.
The parking lot in front of the Laundromat remains closed.
Community members say they hope the city will take action to prevent another tragedy from happening again.
