Stakeholders met in Cobble Hill Wednesday night to discuss the future of the embattled Long Island College Hospital.
City Councilman Brad Lander has vowed to help area residents voice their concerns with the proposed plans for the site.
The developer, Fortis, has favored a 40-story luxury housing building at the site.
Community groups say they have not had a chance to discuss the matter with the developer.
Members of the Cobble Hill Association say the proposal does not consider preserving the historical significance of the site or lay the groundwork for any hospital care plans.
Area residents also say the height of the proposed project dwarfs the surrounding architecture.
