Sixth-graders from I.S. 364 in East New York got a lesson about energy efficiency today thanks to the Community Environmental Center.
The center brought an environmentally friendly home on wheels to the students to teach them about how florescent light bulbs can cut electricity bills and how new showerheads can use less water than older models.
The center says that the cost of changing to new energy-efficient light bulbs and new showerheads can be made up by the savings they produce.
