Members of the Brownsville community rallied Wednesday night to call for an end to violence after a young mother was fatally stabbed in their neighborhood.
Friends and family of the young mother, Joanna Beauzier, chanted the message of "No more violence, no more hate" as they walked through Brownsville nearly two weeks after Beauzier was killed in front of her 9-month-old son.
The loved ones of Beauzier marched in honor of the 22-year-old, starting at her home on Sutter Avenue.
Beauzier was allegedly stabbed Sept. 13 by 20-year-old Shenia Williams on Lott Avenue after the two women got into an altercation. Williams was arrested by police the following day.
