It's been a little over a week since the MTA closed several northbound N line platforms for renovations, and commuters will have to deal with the closures for the next 14 months.

News 12 spoke with straphangers at the Kings Highway stop in Gravesend about the commuting headache. Some said the closures will add at least another 40 or so minutes to their commute. For example, to get to Manhattan from the Kings Highway stop, riders would have to take the N train south to Coney Island and then switch to an express northbound N train.

Commuters said they understand that the stations need upgrades, but can't help but feel like the renovations are poorly planned.

Once the northbound sides are complete, the MTA will begin work on the southbound platforms.
