Many local straphangers are complaining about what they say are safety hazards at the 18th Avenue subway stop.
One commuter says the metal stairs at the 'N' line station are so corroded that someone could eventually fall through. MTA officials say nine stations along the Sea Beach line, including the 18th Avenue station, are scheduled for renewal, but not until a revised contract is awarded in 2014.
