Con Edison crews have restored electric services to residents in Brooklyn after last night's weather downed power lines.
Over 5,600 customers in the Midwood area, especially, lost service just after 7 p.m. Fortunately, service was restored by 10:37 p.m.
Con Edison warns that some wires might still be down in some areas and urge residents to stay away from downed wires during storms.
Crews in unmarked vehicles but carrying Con Edison identification may be guarding downed wires to keep people and pets away.
Residents are encouraged to report outages and check service restoration statuses on its website or the app.
