An official request was placed Thursday for concession stands for Cadman Plaza Park.

City officials say they want someone to run a concession stand out of a one-story maintenance building. They say maintenance crews would be moved elsewhere. 

According to officials, the food operator would be responsible for fixing up the 450-square-foot building. The city says they'd favor a plan with ethnically diverse and healthy options, as well as those that include environmentally friendly building renovation elements. 

The city will be accepting proposals for food stands until the beginning of November.
