While residents and tourists will be flocking to Coney Island this summer for the boardwalk and beach, many will also get to experience some art.
Coney Art Walls, an open-air street art museum, features 33 displays with 10 of them new this year.
The underlying theme is fusing together tradition with change.
Since its inception three years ago, Coney Art Walls has grown from being more than just an art exhibition - with food, drinks and music - it now doubles as a full package event space.
It features a variety of cuisines designed to prevent competition among the vendors. Like the artwork surrounding it, the food, beverage and events are also carefully crafted.
