The beach at Coney Island was left covered in trash amid the stretch of hot weather this week.

While many New Yorkers are heading to the beach to cool off, not all of them are cleaning up after themselves.

Garbage could be seen strewn about the beach and the boardwalk Thursday morning.

The New York City Parks Department was out early to clean up the mess. Staff told News 12 off camera that today’s display of trash was the worst they’ve seen all week.
