Coney Island mass shooting leaves 8 people injured, 1 critically

The 21‑year‑old woman is in critical condition, while all other victims are in stable condition, according to police.

A mass shooting in Coney Island left one woman critically injured and seven people wounded late Saturday night, according to the NYPD.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. at 2929 West 31st St. for multiple people shot.

Police said the victims include a 37-year-old man who was shot in the shoulder, a 33-year-old man and 21-year-old woman who were both shot in the chest, and a 25-year-old woman who was struck in the leg.

Four minors were also wounded in the shooting: a 14-year-old boy who was shot in the thigh, a 12-year-old boy who was shot in the leg, a 7-year-old boy who was struck in both legs, and a 6-year-old boy who was shot in the stomach.

All victims were taken by EMS to local hospitals.

The 21‑year‑old woman is in critical condition, while all other victims are in stable condition, according to police.

A firearm was recovered at the scene.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
