The annual Coney Island Sand Sculpting Competition took place on Saturday.
It marked the 31st version of the event, where 60 open mounds of sand along the beach ready to become masterpieces.
The contest was free for anyone to join, and the top winner got a $250 prize.
The competition is hosted by the Alliance for Coney Island and Brooklyn Community Services.
