Connecticut was ranked the safest state in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new study.
WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across five key metrics including the rates of COVID-19 transmission, positive testing, hospitalizations and death, as well as the share of the eligible population getting vaccinated.
Connecticut ranked fourth in highest vaccination rate, third in lowest positivity testing rate, fourth in lowest hospitalization rate, and third in lowest death rate.
The combined ratings made Connecticut the safest state to be in during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to WalletHub's study.
Idaho ranked the last.
