Connecticut is getting the word out about help available to families worried about falling behind on their winter energy bills.

The state’s application period for the 2022-2023 winter season of the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program starts Thursday.

The average household would receive $400 dollars, but most families will qualify for a larger amount depending on their income and number of family members.
