2h agoA man working at a construction site in Brooklyn died after he fell from a rooftop, officials say.
Authorities say a 49-year-old man, of the Bronx, fell at 1045 Flatbush Ave. around 8:30 a.m.
Police say the man was working on a construction site when fell about 50 feet off the roof of the building.
They say he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
News 12 was told his identification has not been released and is pending family notification.
The Department of Buildings says there are active work permits for demolition of the building he was working on.
The department also says it will investigate to see if there was any wrongdoing at the site.
