Drivers in Brooklyn say they are fed up with a speed camera that they claim unfairly targets drivers.
Councilman Mark Treyger says the camera is a speed trap set up to rake in money for the city. Located at the corner of Shore and Ocean parkways, the camera gave out more than $77,000 in tickets in just one day.
The camera is located at the end of a 400-foot exit ramp and drivers say that it not enough distance to slow down.
The Department of Transportation says the ramp is enough distance for drivers to slow down. Anyone going 10 miles or less over the speed limit will not be ticketed.
