NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly says the two officers involved in last weekend?s fatal police cruiser-dirt bike crash have been taken off patrol pending an investigation.
A squad car struck the dirt bike 28-year-old Eddie Fernandez was riding during a chase Saturday. Fernandez was not wearing a helmet. His death was ruled a homicide due to blunt impact to the head and neck.
Internal affairs will investigate the officers.
