Mother's Day may not be until Sunday, but The Bronx is getting an early start in saying "thank you" to moms across the borough.More than 500 mothers got early recognition today at five different Bronx senior centers. City councilman Fernando Cabrera holds these events every year to show appreciation for the women who he says hold families together. Mothers at the event got certificates of recognition and plenty of thanks."I think there is no greater role than the role of a mother," Cabrera says. "The role of the one who brought us into this world but also the one who invested so much."
