Crews have finally fixed a gaping sinkhole that has been causing problems for Bay Ridge residents since June. For the past four months, residents say the area near 92nd Street and 4th Avenue has been a perpetual construction site as crews worked to repair the sinkhole. Officials say the hole is patched up, but more work still needs to be done along the street. Alternate side parking is now back in effect on 92nd Street between Fourth Avenue and Ridge Boulevard. Officials with the Department of Environmental Protection originally said the work would be done by the end of October. They're scheduled to meet with residents at the Shore Hill Community Room at 7 p.m. this Thursday to give updates on the project.
