A water main break in Spotswood sent water rushing into the ShopRite parking lot and created icy conditions early Tuesday morning.

Crews worked through freezing temperatures to make repairs near Old Stage Road between Cleveland Avenue and Old Summerhill Road.

Contractors said repairs are complete and water service should be restored, but Spotswood officials have not confirmed that.

Old Stage Road reopened Tuesday morning, according to officials. Normal traffic patterns are back in effect.
