After months of complaints and worries, crews have permanently repaired an open catch basin in Baychester.
Residents reached out to News 12 The Bronx on Tuesday for help getting the nearly 5-foot wide hole on Gunther Avenue covered up before someone got hurt.
The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) covered up the storm drain that night and made final repairs on Wednesday.
