Gov. Andrew Cuomo says New York is being prepared to handle any potential cases of the Ebola virus.

In a press conference earlier on Thursday, Cuomo assured New Yorkers that the state's entire health care system will be trained to handle any Ebola cases. Eight hospitals across the state are especially prepared with go-to teams who've been drilled in anti-Ebola protocols.

Starting Monday, medical experts will be dispatched to hospitals to make sure they have the needed equipment and training for possible Ebola cases. Transit workers and police officers are also being prepared to look for any potential passengers carrying the virus.

Meanwhile in the Bronx, a suspected case of Ebola turned out to be a false alarm. Hazmat crews wrere brought in to Jacobi Medical Center after a patient started showing Ebola-like symptoms. After further testing, medical staff determined the patient did not have Ebola.
