Customers and neighbors are supporting a deli after a worker fell victim to a vicious tirade over a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich.

An employee tells News 12 that a man lost his cool earlier this week when he was told to wait five minutes for his sandwich order. Video of the man's outburst went viral.

The deli's workers say their regulars have come in to check on them since the video surfaced.

"To see them being treated like that when they're always here for everyone in the neighborhood is upsetting," says Erica, a customer.

The deli worker had to be treated at the hospital for his injuries. The man in the video is still being sought by police for assault.
