Domestic violence awareness advocates are learning better ways to protect victims today. Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes spoke at a special symposium about stalking at Brooklyn Law School today. The District Attorney's Office says social networking and texting are tools many stalkers use to torment their victims. At the conference, law enforcement officials talked about the different ways domestic violence victims can also become stalking victims. Despite the risk of stalking, event organizers say they encourage domestic violence victims to leave the person abusing them.
