The city's Department of Design and Construction (DDC) has started work on two retaining walls in The Bronx.
Reconstruction of the Bailey Place retaining wall started this month and is expected to wrap up next May with new curbs, sidewalks and trees.
The rebuilding of the Palisades Avenue wall is also under way and will include a new roadway, sidewalks and trees when the project is completed next January.
The goal is to beautify and increase safety in both areas.
