Voting at PS/MS 306 in East New York got off to a bumpy start, but many people were determined to cast their votes on Election Day.
Two scanners were not working at the polling site, and an ambulance had to be called for a person who got sick there.
People also waited in line well before the doors even officially opened.
Some voters said that despite the issues, it was crucial to vote in this election.
"The experience was very empowering for me as a woman. I feel like we have the ability to make a difference," said voter Lisa Cosme.
